Technology Overview
CreditPort is built on a mature and scalable Internet client-server architecture--an architecture in use since 1997 by our early Fortune 500 customers.  Our server technology allows for dynamic display of content and data through a common web browser, making it ideal for both Internet and Intranet applications.

Java Application Server (JAS)
At the center of CreditPort is the Java Application Server (JAS).  Actually more than a Java server, JAS manages all interaction between the user's web browser, security, communications, and database management systems.  JAS determines what the user needs to see, and dynamically bundles the data, business logic, and presentation interface into an object that is interpreted by the user's web browser.

Bureau Broker
CreditPort's Bureau Broker is a sophisticated agent technology that detects credit data requests and manages communications, transfer of data, and storage of information from the credit bureau.  Bureau Broker triggers JAS to send the dynamic content to the user's browser, which now includes the credit data, presented in an easy to read report format.  If multiple, or tri-bureau data was requested, Bureau Broker intelligently manages sessions to the bureaus and merges and de-duplicates data to a single report.

Layers Provide Customizable Credit Report Interface
Report layers are a unique aspect of CreditPort, allowing users to select the type of report format they are most comfortable with.  For instance, Mary may come from a background where she is familiar with Equifax reports, while Ken can quickly analyze an Experian report. Though the company chooses to use Trans Union data, both can select the format with which they are most familiar.  In fact, CreditPort offers a number of formats unique to our system, and built for ease of use and comprehension.  These formats are quickly selected based on the users web browser setup.

Secure
Security was a major focus during the design and building of CreditPort.  While we cannot divulge all of our mechanisms, we can point out a few.  For instance, sessions are not only encrypted and authenticated, but we also use a destructible folder.  Each time you use the system, you are assigned a temporary folder that is destroyed when you log off the system or the system times out from inactivity.  A triple-entry login method is also employed to ensure that the user is trusted by the system.

Scalable
CreditPort is a rapidly expanding service that requires a system that scales over many servers based on user demand.  Our Scalable Session Manager (SSM) is built to distribute load over multiple servers, enabling us to continue building infrastructure without losing system resources.

Integrated
CreditPort can be used with a number of mechanisms to integrate tightly with existing databases and legacy applications.  More importantly, our staff and business partners have the expertise to integrate with everything from AS400's to Oracle databases, using JavaBeans, Active-X, and customer integration.  Let our professional services group know what your needs are.

If you need more information about CreditPort technology, let us know and we will do our best to answer your questions and solve your problem.
