Implementations
Implementing CreditPort could not be easier. For the normal CreditPort customer, there is simply no integration needed at all--a common web browser will do.  No special software or training is required, simply point the browser to a specified Internet URL, enter your dealer code and user ID, and fill out the credit application form.  If you want to use our automated Credit Decision Support System (CDSS), you can provide your customers a link directly from your website or webstore, and let them fill out the application through their own web browser.  CDSS can be programmed by you to provide an automated response (credit offer) either declining the applicant or offering various financing options, depending on their financial risk.

Web Browser Implementation
From there, the options can be more customized.  Call up our application form from within your website's frame--allowing you to put custom colors, images and text around our application and automated decision form.  A choice of form styles can help coordinate the look to your website.  By pointing your web browser to a setup page, you can select color schemes and layout preferences, along with preferred credit report formats, and save the settings as cookies on your computer for later use.

You can also implement a company wide credit system allowing sales and financing staff to pull credit reports and/or credit decisions, right from their office desktop or laptop out in the field.  There's no software to distribute, applications to support, or training to provide--if your staff knows how to use a web browser, then using CreditPort is a snap.

Other Technology Implementations
Not all applications allow for using CreditPort through a web browser.  For instance, an application may have a direct link to a Windows Socket and TCP/IP connection.  Using a JavaBean, for instance, communication may be accomplished without the user's knowledge. Data is entered into the legacy system, sent to the CreditPort server via a JavaBean, and information retrieved and stored in local or network databases.  This implementation makes for a seamless integration into existing applications and serves as a moderate implementation approach compared to full browser support.  Other direct connection techniques can be deployed similarly with other technologies.

Website and Webstore Implementations
For webstores, CreditPort can be implemented with our CDSS system to provide a nearly instantaneous approved or denied response to the web shopper.  Instead of allowing just Visa, Mastercard, or other typical forms of payment, to be selected from a drop down list, CreditPort Financing is another option. When pressed, another window appears that allows the shopper to fill out some basic information about themselves, and submit their application for credit approval. Moments later, the CreditPort server retrieves the applicant's credit information from a bureau, scores it against the CDSS setup you have provided, and either approves or denies credit to the user.  If approved, the user will accept or decline the credit offer. An approval code is then returned and stored either through a JavaBean or encrypted cookie, and later retrieved as part of the shopping cart info. This works much like a credit card authorization number.  Typically someone reviews the authorization code, original applicant information, and returned credit report to ensure everything looks proper (though even this part can be automated).

Shipments are sent Certified or some method requiring only the applicants signature.  The applicant is informed that the signature serves as acceptance of the terms and conditions of the sale and financing offer.

A number of other methods can be used to pull credit data and integrate with your existing webstore.
